Quick Guide
The recorded Warlock has 30 Affliction, 21 Demonology and 0 Destruction points. Its planner prioritizes Corruption and the recording ends with a Gurubashi Arena Victory screen; neither observation establishes a universal upgrade order.
- Compare your talent points, gear and game version with the developed character in the video.
- Read the player's planner notes as a plan, then check actual card offers in your run.
- Use the recorded win as one example, not as a guarantee for later versions.
Holdherhand’s video, published on 27 October 2026, shows an Affliction and Felhunter approach in game build 0.120.5. Its character has 51 talent points and 50 of 54 gear pieces collected. This is an example from an older build, not a tested starting route or current-best ranking.

Talent allocation and prerequisites
At 0:10, the recording's talent screen displays 30 Affliction, 21 Demonology and no Destruction points, with all 51 earned points spent. The highlighted Seed of Corruption tooltip is rank 0/1; selecting a tooltip does not mean the talent was learned. At 0:25, the character screen shows 50 of 54 gear pieces, 12 of 12 zones and version 0.120.5.
For a fresh-character comparison, our fresh Warlock picker on v0.124.0 showed Shadow Bolt as its starting spell and zero talent points. The class reference lists the other starting spells. The point-by-point levelling order is not established by the final talent screen.

What the player's planner says
At 1:15, the recording displays ASBuilder v1.8.0, a third-party build planner. Its early-game notes prioritize Corruption, consider Immolate when an extra-target option appears and use Curse of Agony when other offers are poor. Those notes are the player's planned choices, not proof that every offer or selection occurred in that order.
The planner also lists Shadow Bolt, Drain Life and Death Coil as planned banishes. Check the actual game and your available options before using those instructions; we have not independently tested the banish process or a comparable run on a newer build.

A conditional amulet example
At 12:07 the video offers Pendant of the Plague: Immolate after a guardian encounter. The visible tooltip ties its effect to enemies dying while affected by Immolate. The offer screen alone does not prove the item was selected or that it works on enemies without that condition. Check your own version's tooltip; the equipment guide explains the Codex and run-offered items.
Recorded result
Near 25:30, the Victory screen identifies Gurubashi Arena and shows 18:07 survived, level 69 and five bosses slain. This is one run with the developed character shown at the start; it does not prove the same approach is optimal, repeatable without its gear, or unchanged in a later patch.
The complete node-by-node spending sequence and all card choices remain unverified. See the zone guide for the progression conditions currently recorded from the menu.
